Crochet, is a family tradition. Yvonne Cherry's grandmother, who was called Mema taught her how to crochet. Now, Yvonne is teaching her grandchildren to crochet.

 

She is a member of the New York City Crochet Guild, Crochet Guild

of America and the Harlem Knitting Circle. Yvonne worked on the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef Project.

 

She is the founder of the Brooklyn Crochet Connection, a fun  intergenerational program. The program is geared towards passing on the skills, gifts, talents, and abilities of our elders to our youth through crocheting.
